Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves traded mostly steady to 5.00 higher on a light test. Not enough comparable sales on yearlings for a market test. Trading activity was moderate on moderate buyer demand. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly 2.00 to 5.00 lower with the majority of the cows consisting of lower dressing fed cows. Abnormally hot temperatures accompanied by dry weather continues to be in the forecast. According to the US Drought Monitor, temperatures have been 5 to 9 degrees above average for this time of year.
