LEXINGTON, KY
Compared to last Monday both the feeder and slaughter markets were lower with an average quality offering. Feeder steers and heifers were sharply lower across all weight classes with a moderate supply and moderate demand. Continued negative pressure from the futures market coupled with locally heavy rains and high humidity has limited cattle movement and the premiums buyers are willing to pay. Slaughter cows and bulls were 6.00 to 10.00 lower with a good supply and moderate demand.
