Compared to the last reported sale two weeks ago, due to reporter absence last week, steers and heifers sold with a weak to lower undertone. Demand was moderate for a light to moderate supply. Cattle futures have seen sharp declines to start the week following President Trump's post that he intends to import more beef in the coming months and that he wants beef prices lower. The recent Cattle On Feed report that came out Friday afternoon was bullish with Placements lower than predicted but all of that has been overshadowed by the President's social media post and the extra beef he intends to put on the market. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 15.00-25.00 lower than two weeks ago.
