Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs were lightly tested on a light offering selling in small packages with 550-700 lbs selling steady to firm, 700-800 lbs sold mostly 10.00-15.00 higher and 800-850 lbs trading steady over 850 lbs were not tested. Heifer calves with the most advance were the 500-550 lb calves selling mostly 20.00-30.00 higher with 450-500 lbs and 550-750 sold steady to firm with last week. Demand was good on a moderate to heavy offering with buyers remaining aggressive to buy feeders as the CME cattle futures saw big gains Tuesday with Feeder Cattle contracts up 4.55-6.30. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm.
